Prodigal co-founder Miranda Henderson trained as a dancer in the UK, and at the Duncan Conservatoire in Prague. Working as a performer and director Miranda has taught extensively both nationally and internationally. Between 2002 and 2010 she was one of The Nightingale Theatre’s actor-managers supporting the development of over 100 new pieces of theatre and dance, and hosting a wide range of contemporary performance masters.
She is the director/dramaturge of the multi-award winning Tragedian Trilogy and performed as the Duchess of Malfi in “Ten Thousand Several Doors” winning “Best Show” at the Brighton Festival where it has twice been staged. She performed as the eponymous lead in the “Angel” winning “Queen of the Slaughter”.
Miranda is the director of Prodigal’s Urban Playground Team with whom she performs and she is the lead devisor of all Prodigal’s work. She is the director/dramaturge of both “Caruso” plays made in collaboration with Andrew G Marshall. She is the choreographed for Inspector Sands on their show “If That’s All There is” (Brits off Broadway 2010).
