Born in Mexico City, Ignacio Jarquin trained as a classical musician in Vienna. He made his professional debut in Austrian Theatres as assistant conductor, accompanist and singer. He moved to Paris in 1993 where he directed an independent Opera Company and established an ongoing collaboration with France's 1st TV channel creating artistic events internationally.
With Prodigal he has performed as Cariola in “Ten Thousand Several Doors” which won “Best Show” at the Brighton Festival, as the barkeeper in the “Angel” winning “Queen of the Slaughter”.
Since 2008 he has been touring “Caruso and the Quake” through the UK and Ireland and is currently preparing “Caruso and the Monkey House Trail” for the Edinburgh Festival 2011.
